Theft suspects arrested following high speed chase near downtown Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A high speed police chase came to an abrupt end when a couple of suspects bailed out of the car they were driving and tried to take off on foot. That's when officers tackled them to the ground and took them into custody.

The pursuit began with a theft of a business in southwest Houston. A McDonald's was robbed on Beechnut at Eldridge Parkway. Officers spotted the suspects and took off in pursuit. The chase ended about 20 minutes later, not far from Calvacade.

Three suspects bailed out of the vehicle, and were all quickly taken into custody. It's not yet known what charges they may face.
