PORTER, TX -- James Barry Jones, 47, of Vidor, is facing two felony charges after Sunday night's two-vehicle crash in Moss Hill in which one person was killed and another was seriously injured.

Jones has been charged with Intoxicated Manslaughter and Intoxicated Assault With a Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury. He was briefly jailed in the Liberty County Jail and released on bonds of $30,000 and $20,000, respectively.

The accident Sunday night resulted in the death of 32-year-old Candice Wise of Porter. She was a passenger in a Ford Transport van driven by her boyfriend, William Kelley, 39, of Rye. The couple was traveling southbound on SH 146 and passing through the SH 146 and SH 105 intersection at Moss Hill, a four-way stop with blinking red lights, when they reportedly were struck in the passenger side of the van by a eastbound red Toyota Tundra driven by Jones.
