Laser pointed at United flight from Houston to Newark

NEWARK, NJ (KTRK) -- There were scary moments for a flight from Houston to New Jersey. A laser was pointed at the plane as it was about to land.

The incident happened last night at the Newark Lliberty Airport. Port authority officials say United flight 1933 was preparing to make its' final approach when a laser was shined into the cockpit.

The flight landed safely and no one was injured. This was not the only incident at Newark last night.

Another flight had to return back to the gate after flames were seen coming out of the plane.

Passengers were put on another flight.
