HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The Houston Texans first round pick met the media on Friday.
CB Kevin Johnson of Wake Forest was selected 16th overall. He was asked Friday if he had a feeling he'd be Houston's first pick.
"I was kind of surprised," he said. "We met at the combine and I felt there was some real good vibes there, but after that, we haven't talked much so I was kind of surprised in that sense. As far as when it happened, I definitely felt a connection when we met."
Johnson was voted second team All-ACC by coaches last season to wrap up a career where he broke up 35 passes, which were the fourth-most in school history.
