Early voting begins for the Montgomery County Road Bond

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- Early voting begins today in Montgomery County for a $350 million dollar road bond. The bond funds would be used to fund 77 different road projects and is designed to help ease traffic issues.

Much of the opposition centers around a proposed extension of Woodlands Parkway.The bond proposal would not require an increase to the county tax rate.

Early voting goes through May 5 and election day is on Saturday, May 9.
