CONROE, Texas (KTRK) -- Get ready, Parrotheads! Margaritaville opens today, but you should also expect to see safety measures in place for COVID-19.

According to its website, the resort is taking reservations for today and beyond.

ABC13 talked to Tom Faust, the resort's Vice President of Sales and Marketing about some of the amenities, but more importantly, the COVID-19 precautions.

Faust explained the resort is opening at 40% capacity max. They've also installed Plexiglass dividers at the reception desk and employees' temperatures are required to be taken every day when they come to work. Everyone must wear masks while visiting.

Touchless hand sanitizing stations have also been installed throughout the resort.

For more on what to expect, from baggage handling, to how social distancing will be handled in public areas, such as restrooms and the fitness center, visit Margaritaville's coronavirus update page.

Earlier this month, new photos of the much-anticipated resort showed the living areas, lobby featuring a flip-flop statue, and front entrance sign.
