Harris County lays out COVID-19 guidelines
Judge Lina Hidalgo reminded the community that coronavirus doesn't have a set date to end, despite reopen plans. The county is still seeing record new cases and deaths.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo is asking the public for help in reporting restaurants or businesses that may be violating Gov. Greg Abbott's order.

Hidalgo's office reported Monday that after one day of their new reporting portal being open, they have already received 450 verifiable reports.

In a tweet Sunday, she wrote, "See a restaurant at full capacity? Businesses open that shouldn't be? Help us save lives."

The tweet came one day after she announced a new stay-at-home order in Harris County that extends through May 20.
