Multi-vehicle wreck on 288 SB at McHard has traffic at near standstill

A wreck involving four vehicles has made a mess of 288 southbound.

The wreck is affecting multiple lanes of the South Freeway at McHard. At this point, we don't know what led to the wreck or if there were any injuries.

The backup is all the way to the South Loop.
