Good Samaritan in north Harris County becomes carjacking victim

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Sheriff's deputies managed to arrest a carjacking suspect and recover a stolen truck in north Harris County early this morning.

The carjacking happened around 3am at a Walmart on FM 1960 at TC Jester. Authorities say a man trying to help a friend whose car had been broken into was covering her vehicle's broken windows when a man got into his truck and drove off.

Deputies were able to stop the suspect after a short chase, but he tried to run away and was tased.

The stolen truck was not damaged
