HOUSTON -- The Houston Police Department recently released a video on its YouTube channel providing tips on what citizens should do when stopped in a motor vehicle or detained by an officer.

HPD Chief Charles A. McClelland, Jr. said the video is in response to community requests for HPD to advise citizens on how best to interact with officers in the safest way possible for all.

"We take part in forming good police/community relationships every day here at HPD," said Chief McClelland. "Part of building such relationships is listening to our customers. By producing this video, we are doing just that: giving some valuable information in what to do when interacting with an officer," the Chief added.
