Sketch released of suspect in SW Houston murder investigation

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police hope you'll recognize the man in this sketch who's wanted in a deadly shooting in southwest Houston.

On the night of October 31, 2014, Daniel Martinez and another man walked to a store in the 9600 block of South Gessner. After they left the store, they walked into an alley behind a nearby apartment complex.

According to police, that's where they ran into a man who shot Martinez. Martinez tried to flee, but collapsed and died.

The suspect is still unknown at this time, but police believe he may be linked to aggravated robberies and possible homicides involving Hispanic victims.

The suspect in this case is described as a black male in his early to mid 20s standing between 6'2" and 6'6" tall with a slender build. He has long hair worn in dreadlocks.
