An Oklahoma airman is proving the old adage, "A picture is worth a thousand words," and he did it with a popular children's toy.

Zackary Trissell used Legos to connect with his stepsons during his deployment.

Both boys love the iconic toys and the military but both have muscular dystrophy, preventing them from ever being able to serve.

So Trissell took Legos with him while deployed in Kuwait and got fellow airmen and pilots to snap pictures with the toys so he could send them home to his family.

This story has a happy ending. Trissell recently returned home to Oklahoma after being overseas for nine months.
