Man found dead in crashed vehicle in NE Harris County

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was found dead in a car at an apartment complex in northeast Harris County yesterday.

Around 5pm, witnesses reported hearing what they thought were gunshots shortly before investigators were called to the scene at the Saddlewood Apartments on Bammel North Houston at Highway 249. There, deputies found the body of a man inside the car, which had crashed into a post.

An autopsy will be done to determine how he died. Investigators are searching for any eyewitnesses who may have seen or heard anything throughout the evening.
