Road work blamed for gas leak along Bissonnet

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Construction work along Bissonett is being blamed for a gas leak.

The leak began shortly before noon in the 2800 block of Bissonnet near Wake Forest. The pressure from the leak was visible, blowing dirt from the ground and causing a hissing noise.

Emergency crews were called to the scene to cap the leak.

The road was reopened to traffic once the leak was repaired.
