HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Heartbreaking moments played out Thursday night in northwest Harris County. Family members returned to the home in the 2500 block of Bammelwood Drive where a gunman killed a 12-year-old boy.

Alma Harding told Eyewitness News Deunte "Bubba" Cooks died in still-unexplained gunfire. Harris County's Sheriff investigators reported a call for help came in around 12:50pm of shots fired. Detectives said some type of argument occurred between those inside the home and a gunman, before the violence. Harding said a man knocked on the door, came to the house, and wanted to do her oldest nephew harm.

"Someone knocked on the door, come in to fire this gun, and the intent was to kill," said Harding. "We're not going to have peace with our baby gone."

Investigators reported three people shot. The 12-year old boy died. A bullet grazed an 18-year old male with Down Syndrome, who later returned to the scene to answer questions. They said the 23-year-old man was shot, taken to the hospital in critical condition. We're told all three shooting victims are related.

As of Thursday night, investigators said there are no suspects. No arrests had been made in the case.
