Five kids killed in fire laid to rest in Edna

EDNA, TX (KTRK) -- Five children killed in a house fire in Edna have been laid to rest.

Hundreds of mourners attended the public memorial at Edna High School Saturday. Mourners released pink and blue balloons for the siblings, ages 5 to 15.

Noah, Nicholas and Julian Ortiz and Lilyana and Areyanah Hernandez were buried in private service after the memorial.

Their parents and four-year-old brother survived the fire that destroyed their home.
