HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Ten students were taken to area hospitals after separate school bus accidents in north Houston Friday afternoon.

One wreck happened on Aldine-Westfield. We're told a bus with 25 to 30 kids from Nimitz High School and Nimitz 9th grade school were on board when the accident happened.

Nine students were taken to area hospital as a precaution, according to school officials, as none of the injuries appeared serious. The rest of the students waited for another bus to take them home.

There are no details of the accident at this point. It remains under investigation.

Meanwhile, another wreck involving an Aldine ISD school bus sent a student to the hospital. The bus was coming from Aldine High School and Aldine 9th grade school on West Road when the accident happened. One student was transported to the hospital. That accident also remains under investigation.
