3-year-old boy struck by car in north Harris County

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Deputy constables want to know what led up to a child being hit by a vehicle in north Harris County.

The Precinct 4 Constable's Office is investigating after the child was struck Tuesday evening in the 19900 block of Imperial Stone Drive.

Neighbors say a flurry of activity erupted on their street after the boy was injured, bringing firefighters, deputy constables and EMS workers to the scene.

The 3-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, his parents by his side.

The driver stayed at the scene and was cooperating with deputy constables.

Constable Mark Herman did not say whether the driver will face any charges, but that deputy constables are still investigating.
