3 injured in shooting inside Greenspoint Mall

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- One person was shot and two others grazed by bullets inside Greenspoint Mall on Sunday afternoon, investigators confirm.

The shooting happened in the food court around 5:45 p.m when a fight broke out. One of the men involved in the fight flashed a gun and shot another man who challenged him, investigators say.

That victim was shot in the buttocks and was taken to Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital for medical treatment. He is expected to survive.

Two other people were grazed by bullets. They were treated at the scene and released.

Authorities have identified the suspect in the shooting only as a black male with dreadlocks in a bun. He is between 5'7" and 5'8". The suspect may have been accompanied by a female with red hair.
