Dog racing returns at Gulf Greyhound Park

LA MARQUE, Texas (KTRK) -- Racing has returned to Gulf Greyhound Park in La Marque.

You may remember that the track suspended races in 2016, blaming competition from Louisiana casinos and rising costs. But in July last year, the Texas Racing Commission approved an agreement between track owners and breeders for a fresh schedule of races with a total purse of around $2.2 million statewide.
