Man offers $5K reward after thieves hit property 3 times
The owner of a southwest Houston property says thieves have targeted his property three times in the last six weeks.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The owner of a southwest Houston property says thieves have targeted his property three times in the last six weeks. He said the most recent cost him a piece of equipment worth tens of thousands of dollars.

There is surveillance video of the theft and Houston police have watched it. It clearly shows thieves breaking into the property this weekend, hitching up an expensive piece of motorized aircraft equipment, and hauling it off. There is also video of what appears to be the same truck casing the property the day before the burglary on Thanksgiving day.

Still police say it could be tough to identify who did it. Their truck was a common one and the video, while clear, doesn't reveal a license plate or close ups of the thieves' faces.

"I'm hoping we get something out of the video or somebody can identify them and help us in this case," said the property owner, Sami Safi.

He said he is frustrated and frightened they'll come back. Now, he's willing to pay a reward to catch those responsible.

"Whoever offer me any help to identify these people, from $5,000 to $10,000," he said. "I will offer as a reward for their help to get them what they stole from here and put them behind the bars. "

He is adding additional surveillance equipment to keep a better eye on the place.
