Moody Gardens a month away from 'ICE LAND' opening

GALVESTON, Texas (KTRK) -- While the conditions outside don't exactly say "icy," Moody Gardens in Galveston continues to turn its Rainforest Pyramid just that for the opening of its ICE LAND holiday offering.

Moody Gardens will boast many giant ice scenes for guests for what it describes as an "ultra-cool magic holiday attraction."

Ice sculptures are being carved to fulfill the ICE LAND theme.

Master carvers from China are working to finish by Nov. 11 when the special holiday exhibit is open to visitors.

A behind-the-scenes tour of the exhibit through a VIP experience is available through Nov. 5.

ICE LAND and the other holiday offerings at Moody Gardens will be offered from Nov. 11 through Jan. 7, 2018.
