MATAGORDA COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- The body of a man who went missing after a collision between a crew boat and a submerged object in the Colorado River was found on Monday, according to officials.

Texas EquuSearch said 24-year-old Jacob Langley's body was found about half a mile from where the accident happened near the mouth of the Colorado River and Matagorda Bay.

Langley was one of five people on board the boat that struck a piling in the water around 5 a.m. Saturday, according to the U.S. Coast Guard. He was the second person to be killed. The first person killed has not been identified.

Texas Parks and Wildlife personnel were able to recover the remaining three people from the water.

Texas EquuSearch said Langley is the nephew of two the search group's members and the good friend of another Texas EquuSearch member.

"We ask that everyone please keep Jacob's family, his friends, and the Texas EquuSearch organization in your thoughts and prayers during this heartbreaking time," the group said.

The incident remains under investigation.
