President George H.W. Bush feeling 'terrific,' will stay in hospital through weekend

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- President George H.W. Bush is feeling 'terrific' and will stay in the hospital for a couple more days, a family spokesman said.

In a series of tweets, Jim McGrath said the 41st president has had constant visits from his family. On Thursday, his eldest son, President George W. Bush, dropped by for a visit.

George H.W. will stay at Methodist Hospital through the weekend.

"President Bush feels terrific, and is buoyed by regular visits from his family and phone calls with friends such as VP Dan Quayle today," McGrath said in a tweet.

This is the third hospitalization in recent months for the president.
