HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Now that your taxes have been filed, it's time to think about what to do with that refund, if you're getting one.

While some people are conservative and like to put the money in the bank, others might be a little more adventurous and consider a vacation.

According to the IRS, the average tax refund for a person is $3,050. So if you're thinking that your trip might be too expensive, here are some ideas that will cost less than the average refund.
