RICHMOND, Texas (KTRK) -- A homeless man said two men picked him up at a church and offered to help him but they ended up stealing everything that he had.

Robert Beckham told Eyewitness News that the robbery happened at a fast food restaurant along FM 359 at Plantation Pecan Grove in Fort Bend County.

Beckham said two men told him he could make some money if he went with them.

"I was told I was going to come over here and make some money. People pulled into the Sonic, assaulted me, threw me out of their vehicle and took everything that I had," Beckham said.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office said the homeless man was hit a couple of times and his backpack was stolen.

The robbers have not been found.
