Squatters may have sparked massive house fire in N. Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A massive house fire overnight may have been started by squatters.

Exclusive video shows the flames tearing through the vacant home in north Houston.

Firefighters arrived on the scene around 11:30pm on Collingsworth and Elysian.

Witnesses said the fire could be seen for blocks.

So far, all they know is the fire began in a building that then spread to the home next door.

Squatters allegedly living inside the building may have caused the fire, Eyewitness News has learned from witnesses.

Arson investigators are now looking into those claims.
