Absconding sex offender is FBI Houston's featured fugitive

FBI officials say absconding fugitive Steve Murrell has violated the terms of his parole. In 1988, he was convicted for statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl in Georgia.
Keanu Williams, a known member of the Piru gang, is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Court documents say he stole $39,000 in cash from a convenience store.
Officials say a tipster led them to sex offender Charles Simpson, who was apprehended November 3, 2016 in Houston after nearly a year on the run.
Police say Benjamin Dominguez is a sexually violent predator from the El Paso area, and is a confirmed Barrio Azteca gang member. He has an extensive violent criminal history.
Police say Raul Ambrosio Jimenez, Jr.  was involved in the sexual assault of a female juvenile, resulting in a four-count indictment. He is armed and dangerous.
Justin Lane Slatton, Jr. is a suspect in a double shooting that occurred on April 13, 2016, at a residence in Temple, Texas, which resulted in the deaths of two men.
Kevin Wayne Matthews, a confirmed Aryan Brotherhood of Texas gang member, was captured on October 5, 2016, wanted for multiple counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
On May 16, 2006, the Zavala County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for Freddie Alaniz's arrest for Sexual Assault of a Child.
On January 30, 2005, Jose Fernando Bustos-DIiazwas working as a ranch hand at The Oaks of Kendalwood stables in Harris County when he committed a homicide. He escaped from prison.
On November 6, 2014, Jaime Gonzalez absconded from his trial proceeding in El Paso County while being prosecuted for multiple counts of Possession of Child Porn.
Israel Aguirre is a violent criminal alien with arrests for Murder, Theft, Prostitution, and Failure to ID.
Eusebio Deleon's estranged wife was found in her residence with severe injuries from blunt force trauma to her head. Authorities believe Deleon beat her. She later died.
Iris Iliana Rodriguez is wanted by authorities for having had improper contact with a juvenile victim on multiple occasions, supposedly as a camp counselor.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- This week, the FBI in Houston is looking for information about the whereabouts of an absconding sex offender.

According to court records, Steve Murrell was convicted of statutory rape of a 14-year-old female in Georgia in 1988.

His conviction requires him to register as a sex offender annually. The FBI now says that Murrell, 47, is wanted for parole violation. His entry on the DPS sex offender registry identifies him as absconding.

A known member of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas, Murrell is a white male who stands 6 feet tall and weighs 193 pounds. He has hazel eyes and brown hair.
