Police looking for 2 suspects after 15-year-old found dead near Alief

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A 15-year-old was shot and killed Monday night in the Alief area, according to police.

It happened outside an apartment complex on Cook Road near Beechnut around 6:25 p.m. According the Houston Police Department, the teen was found dead in the parking lot. He had been shot in the stomach.

Police say the teen was shot during an apparent drug deal.

"We believe it was a narcotics transaction with regard to that. Don't want to (stereotype) the situation, but it did not go well," said Detective C. Lamont with HPD Homicide.

A preliminary investigation indicated there are at least two suspects.

One of them is described as a tall, skinny Black man in his late teens. It's believed he was wearing a blue hooded sweater, black pants and a shiny blue belt.

Police describe the second suspect as a Hispanic man, also believed to be in his late teens. He wore a navy blue sweater, faded denim jeans and white shoes.
