Sharpstown math tutor wanted on child porn, sex charges

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A math tutor is wanted by officers after he was accused of a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.

Aldo Leiva is employed as a tutor at Sharpstown High School, where the 17-year-old girl is a student.

Court documents reveal the victim's mother allegedly found photos of her daughter and Leiva kissing on the girl's cell phone. When she pressed for more information, the victim identified the man as Leiva.

During an investigation at the school, Leiva denied he had a relationship with the girl beyond a "mentor/teacher/friend/listener."

But, the girl alleges she and the tutor had a dating relationship which began last summer, and that he routinely left hickeys on her breasts. She also claims the two sent nude photos to each other.

Now Leiva is on the run, wanted on charges of sexual performance of a child and possession of child pornography.

Leiva is described as standing at 5-feet, 6-inches tall, and weights 200 pounds.
