HPD: Search underway for suspect who crashed stolen car into home

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are searching for a suspect accused of crashing a stolen vehicle into a home in northwest Houston.

The search is underway in the 5300 block of Apollo Street near West Tidwell Road.

This all began around 9:55am when police received a call from Lehman Drive near Shepherd Street about a possibly stolen vehicle.

A Harris County Sheriff's deputy was flagged down by HPD for assistance after the suspect allegedly ditched the car and ran from the scene.
