Body found floating in Sims Bayou

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are investigating the death of a man who was found floating in Sims Bayou.

The scene is unfolding in the 8500 block of Howard. We don't yet know the circumstances surrounding the death.

Texas Equusearch was in that area earlier this week looking for a man who went missing before the flood. A representative is at the scene waiting for more information from police. Several different families are also at the scene, waiting to see if that victim is a loved one.

Police are still at the scene, trying to gather information about the victim.
