Two dead of gunshot wounds southeast of Conroe

CONROE (KTRK) -- Two people are dead after a shooting in the 11400 block of Ward Road southeast of Conroe.

Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies were responding to a welfare check at 4:45 p.m. after a woman had called 911 reporting seeing blood on a man she was related to.

The caller said the man was walking around the property distraught, according to MCSO Lt. Brady Fitzgerald.
