HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Authorities are looking for more information in the murder of a woman found dead in a store parking lot on Houston's south side last year.

Jacqueline Anderson's body was found in a convenience store parking lot in the 7400 block of Scott Street at Mainer on July 27, 2015. Police say her body was badly decomposed and without identification.

At the time of the discovery, store owners told Eyewitness News they were picking up trash and clearing an area beside the store when they found remains under some trash.

The men say they were last in that area of their property a month before. At the time, police said they didn't know how long the body had been there, and said it wasn't clear how she died. Her gender was unknown at the time of the discovery.

It's unclear at this time how Anderson was identified.

Police found a Houndstooth jacket and a small wallet/coin purse in the trash along with the body, but investigators weren't sure if they belonged to her.

If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477). A reward of $5,000 is offered in the case.
