UH has highest final AP ranking since 1979

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Following the University of Houston football team's amazing 13-win season, the team is officially one of the top 10 teams in the nation.

The Cougars are eighth in the final AP poll, which was released overnight. It's the team's highest finish since 1979!

And this morning, Cougar football tweeted out an invitation to ESPN Gameday, saying "Hey, College Gameday, opening week 2016 - No. 8 Houston vs. No. 5 Oklahoma. Call me maybe?"
