Brazoria County mom sentenced for toddlers' drowning deaths

PEARLAND, TX (KTRK) -- A Brazoria County woman has been sentenced for the drowning deaths of her twin toddler daughters earlier this year.

Barbara Russo entered a guilty plea yesterday to criminally negligent homicide. She was sentenced to six years in prison.

Those 14-month-old girls died back in February after Russo left them alone in a tub to go clean up in another room.
