Woman run over, killed on bridge over Lake Houston

HARRIS COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- A woman was killed when she was run over in northeast Harris County.

Police say the woman was walking on FM 1960 at the McKay Bridge over Lake Houston when she walked into traffic and was struck by a vehicle.

The woman was run over at least twice, but only one driver stopped to help.

Investigators say they are unsure why the woman was on the bridge.
