HOUSTON (KTRK) -- For the fifth time in his career, Texans defensive end JJ Watt has been named AFC Defensive Player of the month.

Watt won the honor for November with an NFL-best 7.5 sacks, 26 quarterback hits and 9 tackles for loss. He also had one forced fumble and 20 total tackles as the Texans went 4-0.

Watt had three games in November with 2 or more sacks, giving him an NFL-best five games with multiple sacks this season and 20 his career. That's the second most by any player in his first five seasons, only behind Reggie White.

Through his first 11 games this season, Watt has more tackles, sacks, QB hits and tackles for loss than he did through the first 11 games last year, when he was the unanimous AP Defensive Player of the Year.
