HOUSTON (KTRK) -- If you're looking to shop with a purpose this holiday season, a local organization is looking for your help.
Volunteers are needed to begin shopping for gifts to be given to nearly 4,600 Houston Area children with multiple disabilities or profound deafness who come from underprivileged homes.
The effort is funded Be An Angel, a non-profit organization that provides programs, services and equipment for special needs children throughout Texas, according to the organization's web site.
Children at Aldine ISD, Alief ISD, Conroe ISD, Houston ISD, Humble ISD, Pasadena ISD, Spring ISD, Spring Branch ISD, Spring ISD, Tomball ISD are served by this program.
The organization says its Be An Angel's Holiday Gift Program began more than 28 years ago in order to give these children gifts during the Christmas season. Each child has an individual wish list.
Be An Angel is asking for 200 shoppers per day at the following locations:
Monday, November 16, Target - 20777 Hwy. 59 N., Humble (77338) 8am - 5pm
Tuesday, November 17, Target - 4323 San Felipe, Houston - (77027) 8am - 5pm
Wednesday, November 18, Target - 5757 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena (77505) 8am - 5pm
Thursday, November 19, Target - 19511 IH 45. Spring (77338) 8am - 5pm
Friday, November 20, Target - 10801 Westheimer Rd.,(77042) 8am - 5pm
