Woman in minivan leads Houston police on chase

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A woman driving a Honda Odyssey led police on a long chase.

A Houston police officer noticed the van driving dangerously on the 610 North Loop near McCarty. The officer attempted to pull the female driver over, but she refused to stop and took off.

Officers chased her eastbound on the North Loop to I-10, then to I-45 through downtown. She then got onto the East Beltway 8 and made it to Highway 90 before HPD used spike strips to flatten her tires, causing her to crash.

An EMS crew checked the woman out on scene. She's now facing multiple charges.
