Hours-long standoff in northwest Houston comes to peaceful end

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An hours-long SWAT standoff in northwest Houston Thursday came to an end with a woman in custody.

Houston police say the woman's boyfriend came to the home in the 5800 block of Larkin. He told them she wouldn't let him in threatened him.

When police arrived at the scene, they heard a gunshot. The boyfriend did say she was armed.

Around 6:25pm, after five hours of negotiations, the woman - identified as Diana Ojevick, walked out and was taken into custody without incident.

She's facing charges of discharging a firearm.
