Harris County deputies investigating shooting near elementary school in Katy

KATY, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities in Katy are investigating a shooting that took place Thursday evening near an elementary school.

Harris County said the shooting happened on Garden Green Trail Road. A view from SkyEye showed the neighborhood is blocked off by crime scene tape and someone was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

Two people have been detained in connection with the shooting, according to deputies.

The extent of the victim's injuries and what led to the shooting is unknown.
