A Houston man is wanted for murder that happened earlier in April. Here's what to know.

SOUTH HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities need the public's help in the search for an 18-year-old fugitive who is wanted for murder in the city of South Houston.

Police are hoping to find David Rios Hernandez, who is accused of ambushing and pistol-whipping a man before shooting and killing him on April 11, 2021, in the 3400 block of S. Shaver Street.

Police describe Hernandez as a Hispanic male, approximately 5'08," weighing 180 pounds with brown eyes and short black hair.

Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information on his whereabouts, charging and/or arrest.
