Not to be outdone by Amazon, Walmart is now looking for permission to test drones for making deliveries to your home.

Walmart has tested drones inside its facilities, but is seeking an exemption from the FAA to start using the drones outdoors. The approval process takes about 120 days.

In addition to making deliveries to your home, Walmart says the drones could help you take merchandise from the store to your car. They would also be used to provide aerial surveillance at its buildings, warehouses and distribution centers.
