Authorities seek fugitive accused of crushing baby's skull

Authorities asked for the public's help to find wanted fugitive Joe Benny Salazar, accused of crushing a baby's skull.

Police say Salazar was left alone with a 9-month-old child for four hours, and during that time, police say Salazar violently shook the child and crushed the baby's head.

Salazar is wanted on a first degree felony warrant for Injury to a child by serious bodily injury in Harris County.

While in Salazar's care, authorities say the baby sustained multiple skull fractures, subdural hemorrhaging and retinal hemorrhaging. Authorities say the baby will suffer permanent developmental delays as a result of injuries inflicted by Salazar.
