HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A 46-year-old man was arrested after a fire at a northwest Harris County home led to the discovery of a meth lab.

Jimmy Deffenbaugh, 46 was arrested Friday by Fire Marshal Investigators in connection with last month's incident.

According to authorities, the Klein Fire Department responded on September 16 to a house fire in the 11700 block of Snowbridge Court.

"During the investigation evidence of manufacturing of methamphetamnine and drug paraphernalia was found inside of the house." said Captain Dean Hensley with the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office.

Their investigation determined the explosion was a result from the manufacturing of the methamphetamine.

Deffenbaugh was booked into the Harris County jail with a $50,000 bond.
