HOUSTON (KTRK) -- More than 100 pounds of dried and bagged marijuana and more than 1,000 plants were seized by police in a multi-million dollar grow operation in Montgomery County.

Officers say neighbors never saw people coming in and out of the compound on Wisp Willow Way near Springfield in Grangerland.

The compound, which was surrounded by an eight-foot fence, contained a home inside and a metal warehouse approximately 100 feet by 120 feet.

Inside the warehouse, investigators found huge lamps over grow tables, and more than a dozen 500-gallon water tanks with automatic watering systems.

Breaker boxes lining the rooms powered the lights, while pumps and a full irrigation system kept the plants thriving inside.

Investigators found an electronic switch controlled whether power would go through the Entergy meter or bypass it completely.

A dozen assault weapons were also seized.

A person was arrested near the compound after police found large amounts of canibus butter and buds in his possession.
