1 person killed when SUV crashes into tree on Richmond Avenue

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- One person is dead after crashing an SUV into a tree in a busy area of southwest Houston.

It happened around 5:30 a.m. Thursday on Richmond near Hillcroft.

The video shows the SUV wrapped around the tree.

There were no other vehicles involved.

ABC13 is working to gather more information about what caused the crash.
