HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- One person is dead and several others injured in two separate shootings in downtown Houston.

The first shooting took place outside of the Neil's Bahr on Chartres at Walker Street just after 2 a.m. The second shooting happened on Pease Street just a few streets down.

Police said there was a fight inside the bar after it closed. A suspect got into a car, grabbed a gun and shot a man on the patio in the arm, officers said. That victim survived and was taken to the hospital.

The person who fired the gun was arrested.

While police were investigating the scene at the bar, they said a car pulled up with three people. Investigators said all three had been shot after they were at a club.

Police said the driver stopped at Neil's Bahr because they saw flashing lights and wanted to get help.

Two of the gunshot victims in the vehicle were taken to the hospital, the other person died.

Officers are searching for the shooter and cannot confirm whether the two scenes are related.
