Woman out of her car hit by vehicle on Southwest Freeway

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A woman who got out of a car was hit by a truck on Southwest Freeway overnight.

Police said she stepped out into the moving lanes near Shepherd around 2:30 a.m.

The man who hit her stopped to give the woman aid.

The woman was taken to the hospital, but her condition is not immediately available.
